The API of the Data Link Backend: it lets you request some stored ACARS network ATS Applications (DCL and D-ATIS) messages of an aerodrome in a simpler way, without the live stream or database connection. The history it returns is more limited than the available in the records database. The ibonav.aero ACARS ATS Search page and the ATC tab of the aerodrome menu in the Interactive Map use it.

What you can build with it: the current departure / arrival ATIS of an aerodrome on your page, its latest D-ATIS messages, or the latest departure clearance (DCL) messages given at an aerodrome.

  • Messages are returned as received (raw text), newest first; they are not parsed.
  • Coverage depends on the receivers: an aerodrome may have no messages, or only old ones.

Applications

Available ATS Applications and ACARS Message Labels searched:

ATS Application ACARS Message Label
D-ATIS A9
DCL A3

Only these uplink messages are returned. The other messages of the same applications are not covered: the aircraft requests (B9 Request ATIS Report, B3 Request Departure Clearance), the DCL readback (B4) and the Flight Systems Messages (FSM, A4). For this more detailed message exchange, use the live stream of the Data Link Backend or Records Data Base Access.

Maximum number of latest messages per request:

ATS Application Endpoint Maximum latest messages
D-ATIS /acars-app/datis 5 per direction (DEP, ARR)
DCL /acars-app/dcl 30

D-ATIS

GET https://dlink-api-2.ibosoft.net.tr:2096/acars-app/datis?icao=LTFM&type=dep,arr&count=3&days=2
Parameter Required Value Description
icao yes 4 letters ICAO location indicator of the aerodrome (case-insensitive)
type no dep, arr or dep,arr (default) Departure and/or arrival ATIS
count no 1–5, default 1 Messages per type; larger values are reduced to 5
days no positive integer Only messages of the last N days; without it the whole history is searched
{
  "icao": "LTFM",
  "count": 3,
  "dep": [
    { "timestamp": 1760840065.479974, "text": "/ESBDTYA.TI2/LTFM DEP ATIS S 1030Z ..." },
    { "timestamp": 1760830000.0, "text": "/ESBDTYA.TI2/LTFM DEP ATIS R 1000Z ..." }
  ],
  "arr": [
    { "timestamp": 1760830500.0, "text": "/ISTATYA.TI2/LTFM ARR ATIS Z 1100Z ..." }
  ]
}
Field Description
icao Requested aerodrome
count Messages per type after the limit was applied
dep, arr Messages, newest first; only the requested types appear, [] when none was found
timestamp Reception time (Unix epoch, seconds)
text Message text as received

Messages are found by their header: an A9-label message containing /{ICAO} DEP ATIS or /{ICAO} ARR ATIS (space or hyphen between the parts). The current ATIS is the newest message of a type; check its timestamp, an old one may no longer be valid.

DCL

GET https://dlink-api-2.ibosoft.net.tr:2096/acars-app/dcl?icao=LTAI&count=10
Parameter Required Value Description
icao yes 4 letters ICAO location indicator of the departure aerodrome (case-insensitive)
count no 1–30, default 1 Number of messages; larger values are reduced to 30
days no positive integer Only messages of the last N days; without it the whole history is searched
{
  "icao": "LTAI",
  "count": 10,
  "dcl": [
    { "timestamp": 1760440000.0, "text": "/ESBCTYA.DC1/CLD 1142 261013 LTAI PDC 075 ..." }
  ]
}

dcl lists the messages newest first, [] when none was found. Messages are found by the DCL header: an A3-label message /CLD {HHMM} {YYMMDD} {ICAO} … with the aerodrome in the header; an aerodrome that appears only later in the clearance (e.g. CLRD TO LCEN) does not match.
