Which coverage each coverage folder of the AIS Charts API holds, and in which root directory it exists. The coverage names come from get-shared-config; the list reflects the server on the date above. For the current list, read the top level of each root directory with get-directory-index/{root}/.

How a folder name is read#

The identifier values are prefixes planned so that a coverage can be selected by an aerodrome identifier: a country's ICAO location indicator prefix (LT, K), a full ICAO location indicator (LCEN) or an AIXM identifier of up to 6 characters for aerodromes without one (LT1401). A coverage covers the aerodromes whose identifier begins with one of its values (LT → LTAC, LTFM …; K → KJFK …). Several coverages can share an identifier (e.g. IBOSOFT-LT, PAMS-LT, AIPIBOSOFT-LT for LT). Coverages without an identifier (area chart series) are not tied to aerodromes.
