Change Notices

The notices in force for an airport or an FIR: NOTAMs and navigation database change notices, as numbered text items. Change notices list the procedures, navaids and waypoints that differ from the current navigation database, so they are what you show next to a chart or a procedure.

Endpoints

Endpoint Description
GET /notices/{icao} Notices of an airport (default) or of an FIR (?type=fir)

Parameters

Name In Default Description
icao path — Airport code (LTAC) or FIR code (LTAA), case-insensitive
type query airport fir → FIR notices; any other value → airport notices

An airport query and an FIR query return different sets: FIR notices cover the whole flight information region and are not repeated in the airport response. To show everything relevant to a flight, request both.

Errors

Errors are returned as {"detail": "<message>"}.

Code Meaning
200 with "notices": [], "total": 0 No notices, or an unknown code — not an error
500 Network failure or timeout (30 s)
502 Failed to fetch notices from Jeppesen — the upstream source did not answer

Notes

  • Responses are not cached; a call takes about 1–3 s.
  • The code is not validated for length or character set — an unknown code simply returns an empty list.
