Query string parameters pre-select the message types of the ibonav.aero OPMET Search page, fill in the location indicators and can run the search when the page opens. Use them to link to the weather of an aerodrome or FIR from your own page. No login is needed.

The OPMET Decoder page (https://ibonav.aero/pib/opmet-decoder) has no query string parameters.

icao ICAO location indicator(s), comma-separated Fills the location boxes: aerodromes for METAR/SPECI, TAF and AD WRNG; FIRs for SIGMET/AIRMET and GAMET.
search flag (any value or none) Runs the search when the page opens.

  • Keys are case-insensitive.
  • Only types of one group can be combined. With types of different groups, only the group of the first valid type is kept (e.g. sigmet-airmet,metar-speci → SIGMET/AIRMET).
  • airep-ars, vona, va, tc and swx are selected alone; they need no location indicator, and with search the search runs directly.
  • Without type (or with no valid key) the default is METAR/SPECI + TAF + AD WRNG.

icao

  • Each value is converted to upper case and cleaned of non-letters; only 4-letter indicators are kept.
  • At most 5 indicators are used (the page's limit); the rest are ignored.
  • If no valid indicator remains, the page opens with one empty box and search has no effect.

Rules

  • Invalid values cause no error; they are ignored.
  • The look-back period (Current / Last 2–6 HR) and the free-text filter cannot be set by query string.
