About the reference documents: Related Documents and Resources
Depending on your use, the original data sources may also need to be credited.

Current SIGMET and AIRMET information, as a message list (live) and as a GeoJSON layer with the areas of the phenomena (refreshed every 5 minutes, history kept for 7 days).

PANS-MET defines SIGMET and AIRMET in one template (Table A7-5), so both are served with the same schema; the type field tells them apart. The current data sources provide international SIGMETs; AIRMET messages appear when a data source provides them. To decode a message, pass its raw text to SIGMET / AIRMET (ICAO).

Endpoints

Endpoint Description
GET /opmet-sigmet-airmet/current Messages in force, requested from the data sources at the time of the call
GET /opmet-sigmet-airmet/geojson GeoJSON FeatureCollection of the latest snapshot (or a given one)
GET /opmet-sigmet-airmet/latest-snapshot Identifier of the newest snapshot
GET /opmet-sigmet-airmet/available All stored snapshot identifiers

For a map layer, poll /latest-snapshot and request /geojson only when the identifier changes.

Parameters
