OPMET

/metar-speci, /taf and /ad-wrng take the ICAO location indicator of an aerodrome (e.g. LTAC); /sigmet-airmet and /gamet take the ICAO location indicator of a FIR / UIR / CTA (e.g. LTBB).

  • Each answer shows the raw message and its decoded elements; elements that could not be decoded are listed separately.
  • Change Decoding Method (/metar-speci, /taf): the decoder is chosen by the format of the station; it can be changed to ICAO, FAA or, for METAR, ICAO Pre-2021.
  • /ad-wrng: one card per warning. The card is green while the warning is in its validity period, yellow otherwise.
  • /sigmet-airmet, /gamet: one card per message, with ◀ Prev / Next ▶ when there are several. The answer links to the graphical view in the ibonav.aero Interactive Map.
  • ↻ Resend sends the latest data again.

API used (AIS PIB API):

NOTAM

/notam-ad, /notam-area, /notam-atfn and /notam-nr work like the ibonav.aero NOTAM Search page.

  1. After the command, the filters are shown, all selected by default: Type (International, Military, US Domestic/FDC/TFR), Message Type (NOTAM, SNOWTAM, ASHTAM, Other), NOTAM Type (New, Replacing, Cancelling, Other) and the time window (Currently active, or Custom date range… in UTC).
  2. Press 🔎 Search.
  3. The NOTAMs are listed 5 per page, with ◀ Prev / Next ▶. The answer links to the same search on the NOTAM Search page.

API used: NOTAM API (AIS PIB API).

ACARS ATS - D-ATIS

/d-atis shows the latest arrival and departure ACARS ATS - D-ATIS messages of an aerodrome received by the Ibosoft ATC receivers. icao is the 4-letter ICAO location indicator; count is the number of messages per direction (1–3, default 1). Only messages of the last days are searched; coverage depends on the receivers.

API used: Data Link API.

Charts

The chart commands are menus: you choose step by step with drop-down lists and buttons (◀ Back returns to the previous step). The menus are visible only to you; the chosen file is posted in the channel.

  • /charts-aip: country › section (e.g. Aerodrome/Heliport Charts (AD 2/3), En-route Charts (ENR 6), AIC, AMDT, SUP) › AIRAC effective date › aerodrome › file. With identifier (1–6 letters / digits, e.g. LTFM), it goes straight to the aerodrome: you choose the coverage (when several match) and the effective date.
  • /charts-other: coverage › version › section or aerodrome › file. With identifier (1–10 letters / digits), it goes straight to the aerodrome.
  • /charts-jepp: shows the aerodrome information and the number of charts per category; you choose the category, the chart and ☀️ Day Mode or 🌙 Night Mode. The chart is posted as image and PDF, every page of it.

A PDF is posted with an image of its first page. Discord limits attachments to 8 MB: a larger file is not attached, only its preview is posted.

/airac-info shows the current and the next dates: ICAO AIRAC effective date and cycle, Jeppesen bi-weekly issue date and cycle, and the weekly issue date. The full timeline is on the ibonav.aero Effective Dates page.

API used: Effective Dates and Server Time (AIS PIB API).
