Routine (AIREP) and special (ARS) air-reports: the reports in force, the last 24 hours, and a point layer of report positions. Coverage is most of the ICAO EUR region; data is refreshed every minute.

The contents of air-reports are given in PANS-MET Chapter 3 (routine 3.1.1, special 3.1.2) and PANS-ATM 4.12; the templates in PANS-MET Appendix 3, the AIREP and AIREP SPECIAL forms (with the ARS designator) in PANS-ATM Appendix 1. Only reports identified as ARS or AIREP are served. To decode a report, pass its raw text to AIREP (ICAO) or ARS (ICAO) (uplink).

For a map layer, poll /latest-snapshot and request /geojson only when the value changes.

Field Description
raw Report text as published
time / epoch Time of the report (UTC, YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS / Unix seconds)
source Name of the data source

/geojson feature properties: type (ARS or AIREP), location_indicator, aircraft_identification, time, source, raw. The position is decoded from the report itself; reports whose position is given only as a significant point name (no coordinates) are not in the point layer, but they are in /recent.

Errors

Code Meaning
400 Unknown source id
503 The service is starting up; retry shortly

If a data source cannot be reached, the last received reports stay available.
